I received the 2020 Dodie Riach Memorial Scholarship and applied it towards my Private Pilot training. I am now working on my Instrument Rating, and looking forward to attending future Poker Runs! I am grateful for the support and community from the New Jersey 99s, and I hope to pay it forward by flying Pilots N Paws and other charity flights in the future.

Receiving the 2019 Dodie Riach Memorial Scholarship allowed me to add an instrument rating to my private pilot certificate. While I was working as a flight attendant at the time, these days my focus is on flight instructing out of a small airport in Ohio as I make my way back to the airlines, but this time - in the flight deck. Thank you to the Ninety-Nines for your support!

I received the Dodie Riach Memorial Scholarship in 2018 which enabled me to complete my Commercial certificate in Morristown, NJ. Having decided to pursue an airline career at the end of 2017, this scholarship was instrumental in helping me surge forward in ratings in order to enter the professional aviation sector. After using the funds to achieve my Commercial certificate in March 2018, I continued in May with acquiring my CFI and moved to Vero Beach, Florida in order to instruct. Once there, I went on to achieve my CFI-I, Commercial Multi-Engine, and finally my MEI in March 2021. After receiving a conditional job offer with Endeavor in March 2020, I continued to instruct while waiting for Endeavor to begin classes in 2021. I’m now an ATP, type rated in the CRJ, and fly the CRJ-700/900 for Endeavor as a First Officer. I can’t thank the NJ99s enough for their support, and especially to the Dodie Riach Memorial Scholarship committee for believing in me and allowing me to continue my ratings with very little break in between.

Winning the Dodie Riach Scholarship truly changed my life. From that scholarship forward, I was fortunate enough to win multiple scholarships to continue flight training, including a recent Women in Aviation Multiengine Scholarship for my Commercial Multi add-on. I'm currently working on that multi training in the Cessna 310 owned by the flight school I work for as a CFII, Arizona Aero-Tech in Tucson, AZ. The SOPHIA 747 aircraft with a telescope mounted in the back is the next career goal.
